Stockington completes the new edifices for the ministries of Homeland Security (MHS) and Defence (MOD) of the Kingdom of Havenland. Both government departments work together to protect Havenland from interior and foreign threats. Specifically, the MHS focuses on border security, local police forces, imperial watch, air space watch, counterterrorism, coast security, disaster response and reduction, and others; while the MOD focuses on the army, navy, air force, its own police force, and intelligence services. The MHS formerly operated in an old building in front of the Palace of DJEM which is experiencing severe water leaks due to the changes of block behavior in new versions of Minecraft Java. The Ministry of Defence, however, did not have a dedicated headquarters before the recent constructions. Titles of the new buildings are only based on the official names of the ministries operating in them. Thus, the official addresses of these buildings are “Ministry of Homeland Security, Stockington Base, Havenland” and “Ministry of Defence, Stockington Base, Havenland” respectively. These two buildings will be added to Havenland’s “World-Inspired” collection as they are modeled after the City Hall of Bogo City and El Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas in Spain – the set for seasons 1 and 2 of Netflix’s hit series “La Casa De Papel.” By: Stockington Stories Newsbook Stockington sees new figures in its skyline and map as the Havenish government and private sector initiated multiple construction projects shortly after the new year celebrations. The State of Haven was upgraded from Minecraft Java Version 1.16.5 into 1.17.1 in December 2021 and changed its methods of operation. This allowed more players to log-in to the server and contribute their own builds in the Stockington canvas. A copper arch “El Arco de Cobre” inspired by the Arc de Triomphe of France and India Gate of India was erected by Prime Minister DuYunNoDaWae outside the Stockington wall in front of Crown Residence. HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy remarks “a new era” as this copper arch not only features the new materials brought by version 1.17.1 but is also the first structure to be built outside the walls of the Havenish capital city and caused the demolition of a portion of the wall fronting Crown Residence. It did not take long until more construction projects initiated around El Arco de Cobre, officially marking Stockington’s outward expansion. The downtown area, too, gets a revamp as old buildings are being demolished and replaced with fresh and better designs. A restaurant that recently completed renewal is the Davinci Bar and Resto, located at the waterfront beside the clocktower of DJEM Palace. In addition to renewals in the city, roads have been upgraded from the classic stone style into gray concrete, making possible the addition of road markings like pedestrian crossings for added detail in the city; and the facades of the DJEM Central Bank and Crown Residence received upgrades. Across the river from Crown Residence, the vista park underwent renovation which enhanced the overall ambiance in the area. Beside the vista is an ongoing construction of “El Chapitel,” soon to be the tallest skyscraper in Havenland, a project by De La Gente Minecraft Investments. The government is now constructing a new building for the Ministry of Homeland Security (MHS) in the new outer district as the MHS is currently operating in a deteriorating building in front of DJEM Palace. Moreover, the Ministry of Defence will soon be operating in its dedicated headquarters also currently being built near Crown Residence. “The future looks bright for Stockington,” says the king, “as the city is no longer bounded within its walls and can radiate outwards to the imagination’s content.” By: Stockington Stories Newsbook Earlier this week, HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy and HE Neil Pglr initiated a Minecraft replication project, in Stockington, of Silliman University's Hibbard Hall. The new edifice is positioned behind the Stockington horse field next to the Crown Residence estate; and completed construction and furnishing today, 20th of May 2021, with its final design tweaked to match the surroundings.
While the exterior is based on a real-life design, the interior had been custom-made as it is intended to house the Havenish ministries of learning and foreign affairs on the ground floor, and the ministry of justice, including the king's courts, on the upper floor. The building is named "Hibbard Hall, Stockington" after the real-life Hibbard Hall at Silliman University, which has been the basis of the structure's exterior design. It will be joining the Stockington Silliman Collection on the official website of the Kingdom of Havenland. By: Stockington Stories Newsbook Although Planet Minecraft (PMC) not affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019, HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy funded and initiated the erection of a monument in Stockington, Kingdom of Havenland, to honour the heroes and remember the victims of the real-world pandemic.
The CoViD-19 monument completed construction on Sunday, 25th of October, 2020, and is located at the entrance of Acacia Boulevard, near and north of Christ Hall in Stockington. Its design focuses on the symbolism of blocks and its colours; ready to be interpreted in any manner by its audience. By: Stockington Stories Newsbook The new replacement for the old Christianhood Church, Christ Hall, completed construction and furnishing on the 20th of April, 2020. It has opened its doors to the public today, 21st of April, with the new Archbishop 'Anselm' recently appointed by HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy. Christ Hall, like the former church, holds status as the main Stockington church and home of the archbishop. According to the king, Christ Hall is only the first phase of the project in improving the church grounds. A small chapel and a boarding school operated by Christ Hall will soon be constructed next to the church. The landscape around Christ Hall is also set to be improved in the coming months. HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy hopes that the new church, which was prefabricated, will stand as a new symbol for the nation, projecting industrialization, progress and faith into the people. By: Stockington Stories Newsbook Christianhood Church has served Stockington since its earliest days of being established. It is widely known in the city for its grand high-ceiling interior and golden crosses. HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy has decided that it would be best for the city to see a new church rise in the spot of the old Christianhood Church. He has commenced the prefabrication of a new church with better architecture and interior. Its design is said to be taken from the real-life Silliman University Church and Westminster Abbey. Although the new church will not have the same grand high ceiling as the old Christianhood Church, the king assures that the new church will have its own unique grandness. By: Stockington Stories Newsbook HM King DuaneTheBlockBoy uploaded pictures of the Stockington Silliman Collection on Facebook on the 26th of March 2020.
Not long after publication, the photo album received lots of appreciation that kept rising for a few days. At present, the album has gained over 300 reactions and over 500 shares. The Luce Auditorium is the most liked picture in the album, followed by the Ariniego Art Gallery. By: Stockington Stories Newsbook |
